Downloading and installing desktop wallpapers

PC

1. Choose the wallpaper you'd like to have on your computer desktop
2. Click on the correct resolution for your screen - an image will download in a new window.
3. Right-click on the image and select "Set as wallpaper"

Mac

1. Choose the wallpaper you'd like to have your computer desktop
2. Click on the correct resolution for your screen - an image will download in a new window.
3. Click and hold the mouse button down on the image and select "Save this image as" from pop-up menu. Save the image to your desktop.
4. Open "Desktop Pictures" or "Appearance" in the Control Panel menu and drag the image from your desktop to the control panel.
5. Click "Set desktop" and close the control panel.

Downloading and installing screensavers:

PC

1. Click on the PC version link of the screensaver you like (note - Netscape users hold down SHIFT and click)
2. Select "save this program to disk" - the screensaver will download onto your computer.
3. Once downloaded, double-click the file and follow the instructions on-screen.
4. To adjust how much time elapses before the screensaver appears, click the Start button on the Windows taskbar, then select "Settings", then "Control Panel". Double-click the icon "Display" - a dialogue box appears. Click the tab at the top labelled "Screensaver". There you can nominate how many minutes will pass before your screensaver activates.

Mac

1. Click on the Mac version link of the screensaver you like.
2. Save the screensaver file onto your computer.
3. Expand the .sit file using Stuffit Expander (a free download available here).
4. Once expanded, open the System folder and select "Control Panels" - drag the screensaver file into the Control Panels folder.
5. Restart your computer.

Using e-cards

1. Choose a card you'd like to send to a friend.
2. Enter your name and email address, and the name and email address of your friend, as well as a message. Click "Preview card".
3. Click "Preview card" and check all the details are correct. If not go back and make changes.
4. Select "Send". Your friend will receive and email instructing them how to pick up their card.
